The Ripple Starfish is made of hundreds of small hinged scale segments laid in rows across all five arms. Flat on a desk it looks solid. Pick it up by one arm and it droops and flows like something alive, then settles flat again when you put it down. Running a thumb across the scales is the part nobody manages to stop doing.
