About S&S Village

Our Story

S&S Village started at our kitchen table in Singapore, not in a boardroom.

Our kids could never keep their hands still. Pens, erasers, whatever was within reach, it all got twisted and squeezed and pulled apart. So we started buying them things that were actually meant to be handled. A squishy here, a little printed toy there, a plush that ended up in every bed.

Some were lovely. Most fell apart within a week, or turned up looking nothing like the photo.

That got annoying, and then it got interesting. We started ordering samples ourselves, keeping the ones our two kept coming back to, and quietly binning the rest. What's on this site is what survived that. We still do it the same way.

We're a family business, still small, still working it out as we go.

What's in the shop

Four kinds of thing, one idea behind them: small enough for a pocket, a desk or a bed, and interesting enough that you keep picking it up.

Squishies are soft things you squeeze. Foods, fruits, animals. They dent under a thumb and slowly round back out, and some crunch while they do it.

Fidgets and printed pieces are hard things that move. Gear balls, spin cones, clickers with a real switch inside, and articulated octopuses and cobras printed in a single piece, so the joints work the moment they come off the printer.

Plush are soft things you hug and keep. Seals, Shibas, koalas, teddies, hooded penguins. Every one is photographed next to a mug or a hand, so the size is never a surprise.

Bought for kids, mostly. Kept on a lot of adult desks and beds too, including ours.
