A smooth sphere that twists open into a bloom.
The Twist Ball starts as a tight ball wrapped in broad curved ribs. Hold both ends and turn, and the ribs fan apart into an open spiral you can see straight through. Twist it back and it closes into a sphere again. Small enough to live in a pocket, and the sort of thing you will keep opening and closing without meaning to.
